I've been enjoying the antics of Ari Henning and Zack Courts for many years...
"On Two Wheels" was really good.
The "Throttle Out" TV show was entertaining while it ran.
Zack's "Daily Rider" episodes on YouTube are always a good watch and really informative bike reviews (and you can always tell which bikes he really enjoys by the giggle factor).
Ari's "The Shop Manual" shows on YouTube always have great technical info and explanations of all things motorcycle.
And their new "Common Tread" episodes have been coming out since they moved over to the Revzilla (Comoto) organization after leaving Motorcyclist and MotorTrend a few years back.

They just released a new Common Tread episode about riding OG enduros across Wyoming from east to west, and attempting to do it entirely on non-paved roads. 600 miles on a '69 DT1 and a '75 XL350. Very entertaining!  (the video is long, 51:20 but well worth it).

and since the epic WY journey, Ari has filmed a video about rebuilding the poor, tired DT. Pretty cool! (duration: 36:34)

I really enjoyed this, too. That poor DT ran with a broken oil pump cable for how long?

When I lived in Wyoming for 9 years, I restored a 1976 DT175 and hit the back country roads at any available opportunity. I miss the state and would like nothing more than to return to live their, maybe some day.

The DT was like a Timex, just kept on ticking through all the abuse. Surprising it still ran and didn't seize!

I also watched his rebuild video on the DT. What a little champ of a bike. He did a few things different to the way I would have in his rebuild, but it's just nitpicky stuff.

I watched and enjoyed both the Wyoming and rebuild video. Both were very entertaining and well done. Thanks for posting this.

I will have to check them out, my brother just bought land in Wyoming and I already have plans to get a bike and stash it there to visit.  DT is now high on that list.
Those guys are often on the Revzilla podcast and it is a decent listen.  There are a few that I rank higher but it is pretty good.

Winter is 7 months last couple of this is snow melt, and their is plenty of it, so you might want to think about mid June through September if hitting back country mountain roads where the road winds into the shadows will be solid ice but out on the flats will be clear early may

One of my Son's still lives in Wyoming and when ever I head out the DT175 goes with. :celebrate:
I personally do not carry my DT across the paved roads....that would suck and not be fun and would not accure if they were not with a chase vehicle and film crew, riding on the side of the road while on cliffs and gullies is a no no, being hurt  or stranded means life or death in this country due to how far away and isolating it is.

I watched and enjoyed both videos. It did seem like insanity to carry their bikes to avoid "riding on paved roads." I would have just pushed them across or along them and called it good! I also thought the rebuild video interesting in that he did not speak and explain what he was doing. It was a bit strange at first, but I ended up enjoying the change after a while. I highly recommend both!

Zack just did a follow up video on the DT for his Daily Rider series

That was an interesting video, but the one on the BMW sidecar they too racing was more impressive in many ways.  Some amazing shots of Ari Henning hanging out the side of the chair at Shannonville.  I know it's not a two stroke, but a great video none the less.

Thoroughly enjoyed this. It's interesting how very similar the engine innards are to the RD. I'm sure you guys knew this, but it's news to me. It seems such a shame that he went though a total rebuild without going that little extra bit to make it showroom. But I guess he just wanted a reliable beater.

Yesterday I was out on a ride with a friend and decided to stop by the new Revzilla retail store in Newport Beach. Pretty cool place. Going back on Tuesday for their bike night.

I noticed these 2 familiar bikes parked in the store. Still caked with Wyoming mud!
