Title: What’s wrong with my float needles...
Post by: AAAltered on May 22, 2021, 01:45:34 PM
Are they supposed to have some sort of retainer to keep them in place?  Mine seem to fall right out of their seats.  They came with that little clip but my old ones didn't have that so I took the clips off....

nothing. however that 90 degree tab on the float arm should be bent in enough to keep the needle just from falling out when fully extended. replacement needles are a different length than original. or, you could use the new clips.  then you needot put the arm and needle in together. probably the best solution.  :twocents:

I like bending the 90.  But those clips can attach the needle to the arm?  Need to look closer at that...I've never used them.

you need to take arm off, put clips on needle. then slide needle clip onto the tang on the float arm. super easy.
