April 1984 KR250 (KR250A)

Kawasaki's first water-cooled two-stroke replica was unveiled at the 1983 Tokyo Motor Show as a replica model of the KR250, which achieved the feat of winning four consecutive WGP titles. The in-line 2-cylinder tandem twin engine uses a system called RRIS that uses both a rotary valve and a reed valve to enhance power and accelerate in the medium speed range. The frame is also Kawasaki's first aluminum, with a three-piece structure of square pipes, and the AVDS anti-nose dive system is also adopted, and the specifications are comparable to rival cars. But the only miscalculation is that style. An original design different from the works racer KR was adopted, but the world is the entrance to the racer replica supreme era. There was a strong demand for a design that copied the works racer in style at the same level as the spec supreme principle. Unfortunately, the KR was not a big hit, as the rival car that appeared earlier was remodeled and continued to sharpen. Initially, there were two colors, lime green and galaxy silver, which are the image colors of Kawasaki, but in July, Polar White x Sunbeam Red, Ebony x Fire Cracker Red, and Fire Cracker Red x Gray Stone were added. In addition, as an option, two types of "KR250GP World Champion Stickers" have been set, which indicate that the Works Racer KR250 has won the WGP Champion.

Engine: Water-cooled 2-stroke in-line 2-cylinder rotary disc reed valve ● Total displacement (inner diameter x stroke): 249cc (56 x 50.6mm) ● Maximum output: 45ps / 10000rpm ● Maximum torque: 3.7kg-m / 8000rpm ● Overall length x Overall width x height: 2035 x 685 x 1185 mm ● Axial distance: 1360 mm ● Dry weight: 133 kg ● Front and rear tires: 100 / 90-16 / 110 / 80-18 ● Body color: Lime green, Galaxy silver ● Price at the time of release: 498,000 yen

January 1988 Kawasaki KR-1 (KR250B)

Due to the strong demands of the ever-sharpening racer replica market, the KR250S has undergone a full model change to the more racer-style KR-1. The engine, which has changed from a unique tandem twin to an orthodox parallel 2-cylinder engine, is set to a forward tilt of 50 degrees, and the intake system has also been redesigned to a crankcase reed valve. Equipped with KIPS, a new exhaust device, it is mounted on an aluminum twin tube type e-BOX frame with increased rigidity by extruded material with a square cross section. The racer-style cowl shape achieves a CdA value of 0.26 and significantly reduces air resistance. It is also equipped with a bungee hook, which is a retractable loading hook, and an accessory case under the rear seat, improving convenience.

"specifications are comparable to rival cars"

Rival cars? This is mentioned twice. I don't know what it means...

One would assume this is a competitor/rival to the Suzuki Gamma 250 and Yamaha TDR 250. A good bike but too small for me.
