The build looks great.  Can't wait to see the final product.

My wife and I sponsored a foreign exchange student that year and took our foster parent training. Who knew she would become our German daughter and we'd end up adopting two little girls the following summer.  At this point I had stopped endurance racing and was in the beginnings of working on RDs.

You should purchase an RD400 example representing each year of their production.  That's what I did.  One of them I modified with colors she liked, so "it's hers".  She picked out the colors, I had the decals made in those colors, painted the tank.  She picked out the wheel color and went with me to have them powder coated and talked to the shop about her color choice. Total buy-in on the project.

I would be interested in a breakdown of what you had to buy (it's cost) and modify.  I'm thinking this might be a good upgrade to my racing RD400.  I've only seen one other RD400 with a dry clutch and that was at Barber.

I wish I could work on my RD.  Teleworking from our Tree farm for NASA.  It's been entertaining supporting all these meetings via telecom that I used to attend in person.

I switched from Photobucket to Imgur.  Have had no problems since and Imgur is free.

I bet NGK sells way more plugs than plug caps, so the change, while not optimum for us, may be optimum for them.

He had surgery on his left hand yesterday (posted a picture of it on Instragram).  I'm not sure how long he'll be out of commission.

I'll let someone else tell you how to remove them because I just smash them out with a punch from the other side. Don't forget to remove the spacer sleeve from one of the bearings, the kit doesn't come with it and you need it.

Ditto.  One lesson's learned from doing this - use a mallet instead of a hammer.  A mallet won't damage the rim if you miss the top of the punch, a hammer will.  Neither feel very good hitting your hand.
