I used a longer bolt and fastened it inside the tool kit compartment under the tank in front of the seat. I hope it stays cool enough in there. There is space both above and below it, so that'll help. :vroom: The mounting holes almost lined up with the threads where the stock regulator goes. Just a smidgen off, and the threads were kinda bunged up on one of the holes anyway. The combo unit was making contact with the rear fender, and I didn't like that, so, up it went. Also leaves a cleaner path for the wires going up and forward with them instead of down in front of the fender under the battery.
