^ thats a copy. not saying a bad one, but still is.

Oh...I always thought PWK carbs were polini carbs and OKO were copies of polini carbs. So you're telling me, an OKO is a copy, of a copy, of a copy?!

Keihin PWK came first.  The rest are all copies of varying lineage.  The Polinis are likely an "officially licensed product" as (maybe) are the OKOs.

The rest are all bootleg rip-offs.

I've read good things about the OKOs, not the Chinese POS clones but the authentic ones with the hex jets. I would upgrade to those flatslide if I was building a modified bike.

Are the TM Mikunis being copied also?

If so, how can you tell?

Thank you.

Great info, thanks Russ!

... FWIW, the resident guru LC tuner on Norbo's UK forum says "Polini are good, those variants work fine, just avoid the cheap chinese copies"

Don't know why you didn't see these on eBay, may be you looked for PWK28s without knowing most of the 80/85s are fitted with them standard

Yes there are fake TM's on e-bay.  The ads usually start with "carburetor for.."

I was looking at these a while back: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000GV2D7G/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

OK!  We are getting close to a winner here!

Weird thing is, the KX100 carb, part # 15003-1643 is available all day for $135ish on ebay, Amazon, Partzilla (slightly less at $132.48), etc.

The KX85 carb, part # 15003-1617 is hard to find for under $160ish.

I suspect they are the same, with slightly different jetting or something?

Anyone care to shed some light before I pull the trigger on the KX100 carbs?
