nope. he basically ghosted all of us about a year ago.  beats me, he may be mad at me for some reason he wont tell me, or just lifestyle stuff on his end (work, etc).  :umm: He lives like 10 miles away. I still have occasional communication with his GF, ive know her longer than Dave. He's doing well though.

My craigslist bike, from a post on here (old site) actually. grabbed it in '13. I love this thing. as bought:

there was some minor wiring and charging issues, got all that fixed.

went through and did a motor rebuild. was pretty cut and dry.

repainted frame, fit some tires, rebuilt forks, put on some heavier rear shocks for my fat ass. .  Tried keeping the injector system but the 3 pumps i had (2 bought) all seeped. So went premix.

took it on the distinguished gentlemans ride in 2015.

as it sits today. that front fender was NOT easy to find.

Its a 4 speed, has the "rotary shift of death" pattern (n-1 down, 2 down, 3 down, 4 down, n down, repeat). max is about 60-62mph. super fun.

i like a lot about it. theres a few things i dont, but not much. filters as said and that boost bottle with some random company name on it ( :harley:) irks me to no end. and the hardware store phillips screws holding the dash on. gross. spring for some stainless countersunk bolts or allens.  Those makes it look cheap and it distracts from the other things that are good, to me. . All small stuff though. Bit steep on price but not unexpected.   :twocents:

glass bead or sand blast , then acetone.

i'll find it and put it in the tech library.

beats me, maybe. there were different variations of the single disc for sure though, ive seen 3. the one on the back of my hybrid is def lighter than the stock rd350/400 one. However, i agree though, the 'modern' stuff is wayyyyyy better and lighter. Danny took a dirtbike one and trimmed it down for his bike. that was pretty cool.

pretty sure the later xs400 and 650 one piece are already that thin i think (they are almost half the thickness of a 350 one... have one on the back of my hybrid)

fzr 600 caliper, 12mm rotor spacer, r1 or r6 caliper, adapter, and 13mm master, stock RD forks. probably the lightest setup you can do in my experience.

I probably have the cad file for the bracket somewhere.  :vroom:

the upps bolt right on. you need a gasket between them and the cage though.

on the banshee style, i usually cut, them smooth with a sanding drum on a dremel.

bolt on? no. ive relocated and made quite a few but theres welding involved. you can make one that mounts to the stock location, use the knuckle , relocate the spring to the out side, buts it labor intense
