They must have blocked that hole by placing a plastic sheet and screw from behind.

Turning Wrenches / Someone help to identify this
March 19, 2023, 08:43:59 PM
Hi All,
I know it is not an RD part. This one was fitted on a RD400 Carburator as a oil injection hole.
The hole was tapped and this part was screwed in. Now the Original oil nozzle do not fit.
I need to get this same item for the other Carb. Could anyone identify this

Hi All,
Thinking of Changing thr Fork inner tube for my RD400 Daytona Special because off Pitted Chrome.
Found the below in MIKEXS site. Part Number : 2F0-23110-00.
The Daytona Part Number is 2R8-23110-00. Please advise.

Apparently, no Clutch slip, After changing the Clutch and Friction Plates, Bike was showing same increased RPM.
Put a different Tacho of Daytona borrowed from another bike, Now RPM is 120kmph @ 5500 RPM, I guess it is okay.

If you ordered these steels, they are the same as the RD400
   Yamaha 498-16325-00-00 CLUTCH PLATE
I don't seem to have the thickness spec in my notes. But as Mark said, it's best to measure just to be certain.

Banshee and RD400 have the same Part Number : 498-16325-00-00

Friend could not get into any conclusion, except running very good.
But RPM I cross checked, it is high in any speed.
Any comments please.

Either the gearing is very different or you have something else going on (clutch slip like 1976RD400C mentioned). Are you sure it's in 6th?
The stock gearing should be the same for a RD400D and a Canadian RD400F (3J7)
Model                          Primary               Secondary
RD400D                       66/23 (2.869)     38/17 (2.235)
RD400F (US 2V0)         66/23 (2.869)     37/17 (2.176)
RD400F (CAN 3J7)        66/23 (2.869)     38/17 (2.235)

Checked mine, it is 38/17. Could be the tachometer is not accurate, because for clutch slip, I could not find any drag taking off from stop.
I am sure I was in 6th Gear
Tomorrow let my friend ride, Will report here
