Title: My Tiddler ride bike
Post by: soonerbillz on May 01, 2022, 08:34:26 AM
So for the big Tulsa Tiddler tour ride I was hoping to have my Lt3 ready this weekend but sadly that did not happenā˜¹
But my good freind David said "no worries" and loaned me a bike I always loved and was stoked to ride.
A beautiful 1972 LS2 100cc twin. The bike looks like a scaled down R5 or YDS7.
Now top speed on the flat was about 50 mph and on some of the big hills it was struggling to haul my 210 lbs up but the motor loves being wringed out as 2,3rd gear was needed on some of them. But on the rolling twisted this little sweetheart really shined. As long as you kept the rpm up high it ran awesome all day long.
Had a great day!

Is that what they called twinjet back in the day? I've been fishing for a small Yam twin and pulled in a 125 Stinger and a Bridgestone so far.
I watched a couple videos of past events and hope to be there next year. Not on bookface so if theres any other rides give a heads up

In July there will be a vintage bike ride out of Tulsa. But it's not just for small bikes.
Then come fall the Tiddler group will do another small bike tour.
I'll get more info and post up in the events board.

No, a YL-1 Twin Jet is a mid-60s model that looks much different. The LS2 was a 1-year-only model (1972) and looks like a baby DS7 or R5. The LS is a 5-speed while the YL is a 4-speed.
