We have about 6 weeks to get this POS basket case DS7 prepped and ready to win a 6hr endurance race at the local kart track.



Basically, it needs everything.

Plan so far is:
RD350 engine with Garrett GRA400C Amner crank rebuild, head skim/squish, lite porting, intake mod for Vforce YZ85 reeds.  Cast ProX pistons. 
Mikuni VM30's with UNI pods
HPI ignition
Older MC Millennium Pipes
Shouldered aluminum rims
Stock caliper w/ss lines and 13mm master
Chinese ebay "cafe racer" seat
Tarozzi rearsets from FFTP
Works shocks, rebuilt forks with fancy springs.
etc.

Does one exist?

Does the Lowbrow Customs XS650 one fit the RD forks?

What are my options?

What's the "best" complete ignition currently available for aircooled RD350?

Factor in price, ease of setup, reliability, availability, etc.

Will be going on race bike but would like the option to power lights and run a battery in the future

I will be buying pistons for my RD350LC soonish.

As far as I can tell, I can get little round window RD style or big oval window RZ style to fit.

Is there a performance difference between the two?
