General Chatter / Re: Your worst crash

I've only hit the street twice (countless motox crashes) once was a small crash where I was following a novice rider to closely and when he crashed I ran him over. The other crash was way worse, collided with a turning car going about 50mph on my xs650. Crushed my ankle and got some gnarly road rash. 6 months healing time but it was a full year before my ankle was 100%. I learned some valuable lessons on that one. Dress for the slide not the ride!

It uses off the shelf yz125 top ends. That's good for parts availability, I wonder how reliable it will be?

+1 for Ed Toomey, he has all my gamma parts right now. He just moved from a 700 Sq ft shop to a 5000 sp ft shop. The man is busy!

Just saw judas priest on their 50th anniversary tour. They killed it! The set list was incredible, Rob's singing was a little rough but still very good. Hell he is 70 years old!

Gross ball valves instead of needles. Big upgrade on gammas, might work for you

Fairingmaster they're outta China, did a fantastic job on tge paint 10 outta 10. the fit is probably a 8 outta 10, good but a little fiddling required. I expected that part but the paint blew me away

Lucky for me it did not blow up, it would not take the gas, it would buck and cough like it was running out of fuel. Strange symptoms cause it would run ok sometimes. But I did a leakdown on it and found this leak and another on cylinder 2. This bike did run and seemed fine bit as usual it was hiding gremlins. Gonna be super awesome when it's right

I also stripped the motor and sent the cranks and top end to Ed Toomey for a rebuild. This bike had been seriously abused. I had to weld this cylinder up where someone pryed on it and created a huge air leak!

I got my Chinese bodywork, it looks killer imo. The paint is very nicely done!

JP is an all time favorite of mine, can't leave out defenders of the faith or sad wings of destiny, such amazing albums. Mercyful fate, Iron maiden, motorhead, testament. Pretty much all the greatest metal. I also get down pretty hard on late '90s and early '00s hip hop/gangster rap. Some of my best wrenching moments have been to heavy metal. It just makes sense when your working on bikes!

After some diagnosis I have found that my powervalve servo is not working. It passes half of the bench tests but fails in the bike. Does anyone know if the can be repaired? Who does work on them? Anyone have a spare they will part with? Thanks -Ian
