Hi all, i have a 1978 YZ250 in need of new clutch plates (steel and fiber) which seem hard to find, they are the same diameter as my 1977 RD400, would the RD plates work well in the YZ? Or could you recommend a different alternative? Thanks in advance.

The YZ clutch frictions are actually an upgrade for the RD350 & RD400 because there is more friction material surface area. Stick with the YZ pieces. Same part used in the FZR1000 and other models. (See the Tech Library under "TRANSMISSION - CLUTCH - FINAL DRIVE" for details.)

The steels, 360-16325-00-00 are the same part number as the R5/RD250/RD350. Thickness = 1.2 mm

They are in stock at Partzilla:
4H7-16321-02-00  FRICTION PLATE  $14.20 ea.  (6 pcs required)
360-16325-00-00  CLUTCH PLATE     $ 9.95 ea.  (5 pcs required)
