Another great talent lost...what a legacy!
NO!
RIP Eddie. I saw them at the LA Forum on their "Hide Your Sheep Tour". What an incredible live band!
Oh bummer! I saw them play twice in Honolulu. RIP
:righteous:
WOW! After he sobered up I figured he'd live forever! I can almost play a few of his licks...........................D :metal:
I still remember exactly where I was the first time I heard the eponymous debut record.
10 years old, Pajaro Dunes rec center, Watsonville, CA.
All the older (stoner) kids were into it, and just kept playing the LP over and over.
I had heard lots of heavy rock by then, but Eddie's guitar gymnastics, and DLR's vocals just put it at another level.
I lost interest after the first few records, when punk, reggae and proper metal got ahold of me, but I'll never forget that moment when I heard Van Halen for the first time.
The "US FESTIVAL" 1983 :metal:
July 22 1980 Baltimore Civic Center
R.I.P. Eddie thanks for all the great rips............
