it looks like the 1st pic has bosses to tap if you wanted to go that way like the one on the left. thats what i would do. make the new cases match the original one.

I havent had a GT185 since about 1997 so, my memory is fuzzy on specifics.

yes will swap.. -however- there is a -slight- differences in air jet size between the 2 i believe.. which doesn't matter if you dave f mod them. also, floats will not swap.  beyond that, you can swap allt he 350 stuff in including the hi or low top slide & cap, etc.

reach out to vitos, they can probably do a drop-in crank 4mm stroked

cyl spacing IS the same center to center. you can get a stroker rd crank done though
