I hope it does well but it will probably be half as capable as  KTM and twice the price.  It will have great chrome skull accessories, no doubt.
My guess is that it won't just be KTM's offerings that'll make HD's attempt at an adventure bike look rather misguided. But then there's so many folks I've met over here who'd never allow themselves to experience the delights of anything other than an HD  :umm:. The only reason for it I've ever been able to come up with is that they're afraid they'll like it, they've no idea what they're missing  :metal:

I would really like to buy one of the Accent electronic ignitions but I have been told that they are produced in batches and are currently out of stock. They expect to have them available again in 6 weeks. So until then the points will have to do. If I have any more problems I'll likely just wire in an automotive condenser since they are readily available.

Now I'll have some time to start planning my porting changes for then next rebuild  ;D I put it back to stock specs while I get all the frame and suspension dialed in but I know I will be looking for more power in the not so distant future
FYI, a mate in the UK ordered an Accent direct from the Guy in Germany who produces them, he got it within 4 weeks. Also agree that they're a doddle to fit and superbly reliable.

Skip worrying about the battery, They aren't even needed to run these systems.  Sounds like you have a good starting point.  Fuel would usually target a specific cylinder.  It certainly sounds like timing or ignition related given symptoms.  Heat often makes electrical issues worse too.
Sorry but he most definitely needs a battery.

Thing out-loud  :umm:
Dropping a cylinder at random with a points/condenser set up can often be caused by a fault in the charging system but you've seemed to have checked that.
Is the fuel flow ok, does anything change if the tap is set to reserve rather than rely on vacuum in the On position.
Could the tank vent be blocked
After you rebuild I guess you've re timed her i.e. to 3.64 mm on the Left and Right cylinders and 3.42mm on the centre cylinder (allowing for the plug thread angle effect on a dial gauge).

In the words of the bard, why TF would anyone want to hang a great weight on the end of the crank trying to snap it like an early Yamaha twin with the clutch on the crank?

Any 2 stroke twin should start easily on the kickstarter and should not need an electric foot.  I get that it would be cool but not a modification I would want to try.
Have to admit I did think the same thing but each to their own  :umm:

Your all just frightened by things you don't understand and can't work out how to test.
:bang:
Life would be so simple, if maybe a tad boring, if the rest of us were as smart as you  :notworthy:

Ive been told an otoscope (thing to look in your ear) works as well and its got a built in light
Used an otoscope for years at the dragstrip, they're cheap and work a treat.

I also found this one. Although it is 7ah, it says it's a direct replacement for my yuasa battery and that it will fit the RD350.
I've got a Motobatt MBTZ7S from a bike I bought for spares in my '74 RD350, small bit of foam used to secure it, jobs a good'un 👍

There were quite a few DKW 2 stroke cars around when I was a kid. Ugly little cars
When I was a kid a neighbour had a 2T Saab and a 2T Wartburg, both would fill the whole street with smoke on a winter's day start up, I've never looked back since
