Title: Ugly case

Acquired this as part of a deal. Does the missing portion compromise the strength enough to make it useless?

I'd vapor blast and run it.

I would either run a spacer on the bolt or run a short bolt on each side. I would be afraid of stressing the cases in that area otherwise.

if you use it, get in there and take the sharp edges off (this helps it not crack) and spend some time on it making it look good with a die grinder , flap wheel, and dyna file if you have access, will be worth it. but as Joe says, i'd run 2 separate bolts. ( i do that anyway)  :twocents:
