Title: Cruzinimage
Post by: RDFL on November 28, 2019, 07:52:09 PM
Anyone tried these? I assume no good too good a deal. I've heard mixed reviews of their 350 stuff, but mostly good except for cylinders.  --  https://www.ebay.com/itm/YAMAHA-RD400-PISTONS-SET-OVERSIZE-0-5mm-RINGS-PIN-CLIPS-INCLUDE-10-RD400PS-1/131877245251?hash=item1eb47f1143:g:XEwAAMXQ~6VQ8kG4

you'll find a lot of people on the UK forum using these actually, and they all seem to like them. Have a read of their latest piston debate thread if you wanna know more https://www.aircooledrdclub.com/smf/index.php?topic=59557.0  :dawg: :dawg:

Good news I will give a try, don't even have to cut them.

I used a set of cruzinimage pistons in my KH400

Ron Black did the bores for me and was very impressed with the quality. Two of the pistons were "exactly " the same size and the other was only a couple thousandths off.

Their carb rebuild kits are great too.  They seem way better than Keyster or K&L.

Mitsuo is a fantastic communicator, and shipping is always lightning fast

Used their pistons before.  One of few things I have found to be well priced and good quality.  Wish they would bring back the seat bump pads.

What about using the RZ pistons in a RD? A good mod with other brands. Probably have to do a little cutting on the skirt and/ or the tab on the intake side. Not familiar with this brand, so thought I'd bring it up here.

Yes, those will work in aircooled RD350/400 and RD350LC.  The bigger windows *may* give a slight performance boost.  Don't forget to trim the tab on the intake skirt.

Lots more available besides pistons, and carb kits:  https://www.cruzinimage.net/category/item/itemgenre/motorcycle/yamaha/

Many parts are made in Taiwan, including the pistons, but quality is very good.

I was looking around on the website today. They have a lot of stuff for a lot of bikes. I may give them a try on some stuff. It's all very reasonable priced.

i've used piston kits from cruzinimage on all sorts of suzukis and they've all been great. 185, 250, 500, 550, ts125, ts185 and never had a bit of bother with any of the engines i've rebuilt. as been said before, mitsuo is great to talk with. i've ordered piston kits on thursday night and they've been here in merry old england on tuesday morning. i highly recomend them  ;D
cheers, gil.
