Title: spoked rims?
Post by: rd400canuck on January 07, 2020, 06:47:24 PM
Ive been doing a little research and it seems finding spoked rims that will work on an RD400 is bordering on impossible.

Is that a fair assumption?

I was bouncing the idea around because I love the way spokes look but it seems finding a set that fits might be impossible.

While it isn't going to be impossible it will be very expensive building a good set of spoked wheels using the correct hubs.

You will get by a little cheaper if you get creative with hubs, can do some machine work, and sift through eBay auctions for hoops.

350 or xs hub up front, dirtbike hub or spoked front hub in rear

Keep your eye on eBay UK, they pop up all the time. I have bought a ton of them over the years. They aren't cheap anymore but they are available.
