Title: Shoei Helmet
Post by: triple1972 on October 26, 2020, 04:07:55 PM
Hi! I have an older Shoei 8 ball helmet and just bought a new shield for it. I'm not sure if I'm going to use the helmet because obviously it may not be safe anymore. That said do I need any tools to replace the old one? It's been so many years I don't remember. Has a big single slot on each side. Thank You.

Pretty sure that it uses the same pin lock as my old 1200.  Flip shield up.  It exposes a little lever mechanism on each side. Rotate lever down, shield comes out of the round 'holder'...

Turns out that single slot just need a big flat head screwdriver. It was actually a big plastic screw that held on a cover piece. My helmet is probably older. Thank You!
