Hello gentlemen,

Timing recommendations for 1979 Yamaha RD400F Daytona?
Yamaha specs 2.4 mm BTDC for a stock bike. I have one with spec II chambers, VM28, and K&N y-boot. Its been recommended 1.9 mm BTDC? What is your modified RD400F at?

Mine is at 2.0 (and I run 91 Super)

The stock timing of 2.4 was for 1979 gas.
2021 gas is much better and I aim for 32-34 degrees, which in a hemi head gets you maximum cylinder pressure around 15 degrees after
