Is the jetting for a y boot any different than the factory air cleaner?
Then again.. with minor porting?

If it's getting more air it's gonna need more fuel. Mark has a baseline set up on here for an R-5.

yes. different. very different. r5 not as bad as an rd by a long shot but jet up. on an r5 w chambers start at 160 mains. what carbs and jet tubes? it matters as they changed throughout the years somewhat.
