So I picked up an old LT2 to try & get my daughter to ride.
She is too small for the DT125 I have.
I decided to clean it up a bit, and got to the wiring harness
There are multiple wires coming from the stator.
But this bike only had (2) hooked up to the main harness, which had only these (2) as well
The coil & the neutral.
But the connector plug & ignition switch assembly had all of the wires.
I am thinking the harness was maybe not for that bike, as the blinkers were also gone.
And someone used it for another bike.
So lighting & charging coil were not being used

i doubt the harness wasnt right but part of it might have been removed, or modified over the years. either way, here.

yes,
Thats the wiring diagram I have been using.
There was no green, yellow or green/red ( shown as red yellow ) in the wiring harness that was on the bike.
It does not looked cut or opened in any way.
Wasnt there an LTM model that was dirt only, that then did not need the charge & lighting coil?
Thanks so far

beats me, not unusual though. my 67 kawasaki is the same way, sort of. for example, it has a horn button and turn signal switch, but both are empty and have never had a switch in either one, nor was the wiring there, ever. this was a 1300 mile bike from new when i got it. no wiring diagram shows an option where it wasn't there.

Yes. Both the 72 and 73 LT model were offered in regular "enduro" form and " MX" versions.
