Marc,

What a great area to ride in.  I have to travel up the canyon to get away from traffic.  LA and OC has ridiculous traffic in all hours of the day now.  I have to get up early in the morning to ride.  I usually go up turnbull canyon but now, there are alot of kids in sports cars driving like rally racers.  It's really dangerous because they cross over if they lose control.  I've seen skid marks up there and they end at the edge of the cliff...makes me wonder how many cars went over?

That is such an incredibly cool bike. Do you mind me asking what OD and wall thickness you used on the main frame spar? 2.5" 16ga maybe? I'd love to build a frame one of these days, it just takes so bloody long to make the jig.

thanks, i do appreciate it. Theres a whole big build thread on here somewhere.

I got your msg.. i know the swingarm is .040" sheet, the main tune i think was .090" wall or close.  I -was- originally going to use  the center spine as an oil tank but decided not to.

the neck is a stock RD400 one actually. (has a vin so..)

I'll send a PM in a few.
