Title: Wicked motorsports RD350 pipes
Post by: Vintagewannabe on April 24, 2025, 04:16:15 PM
I took a chance with wicked motorsports, seeing as I could not find any reports on them, and now that I am tuned in with them I thought I would post some pics and a bit of a review.

The pipes were about $1100. They are dialed in with a 30 pilot, and 230 main. I had a 27.5 pilot and 180 main  with a uni filter, y pipe, and stock exhaust. They sound great, and there are options to get the pipes stainless, or already coated but I bought them bare steel. There are a couple spots right under the footpegs where the metal isnt very smooth, and could have been prettier. My biggest issue with them is the customer service. At first I was told that it was a ready to ship product, a week went by and I called back. Then it was they had to make the flanges. A week went by and I called back. They had to make the pipes. I called back after they told me it would have shipped, and they were making the silencers. This time it shipped about when they told me it would.
I do understand it takes time to make these things, but I would rather they had just said that they have to make it.
For performance, power comes on at about 6500-7000rpm, and pulls well into 10k, which is much higher than I like to rev the bike.
For fitment, the flanges were tight, but fit good. The silencers are beautiful. After like 500 miles a tiny bit of spooge/burnt oil weeps around the seal from pipe to silencer.

Hey Knoxville!
Wish it would quit raining!

I'd recommend you get one of these fork braces if you aren't running a braced front fender:
https://rswracing.com/products/yamaha-rd-350-400-and-daytona-400?

There are others out there but these fit 'glass fenders better than most. Your front axle will thank you.

Come to Deal's Gap between May 4-11. All the cool kids will be there!

I'll save the date! I browsed some fork braces but haven't pulled the trigger. Where are you guys getting fiberglass fenders?
I'll also make a short youtube video of the pipes and post a link.

I ended up with a later TZ replica but made for an RD. It may be an Airtech. I've heard that RZ fenders will work.

There was a thread about this a while back, about a year ago?
