Went to the monthly Vintage Bike meet in Huntington Beach with Jeff (so-cal-sdr200). He was on his SDR and I rode my RD125. And we met another friend there, Darryl who was on a Royal Enfield.

Despite it being a little smaller than usual there were a lot of interesting bikes there.
And we had a super rare occurrence -- two SDR200s at the same event! It's rare to see one in the US, but two together is pretty awesome! I was lucky enough to take the white one out for a spin after the show. :vroom: These bikes are so much fun to ride! I've now been fortunate to ride two of them and I want one even more! :nana:

This '83 XN was super clean, like showroom condition with less than 3000 miles.

This immaculate '73 Zundapp KS50 won best of show. The owner said he purchased it from former NBA 7-footer Rik Smits. (Who I wasn't even aware was a motorcycle collector, but after looking into it he's been pretty big into it for years.) It was originally one of ten imported into the US and sent to John Penton to sell, but at the time he was more interested in selling his own bikes so they ended up sitting in a warehouse for years.
It's a water-cooled 50cc 5-speed, and it sounded great when he fired it up.

That turbo Suzuki is so cool, thought that was the most futuristic bike made when I first saw one at the dealership. Always wanted one, but parts are non existent unless you find one like that in mint shape. Rare on top of rare condition
Thanks for the great bike pics.
Some really neat stuff - thanks for the pix!
My son moved to OC recently, and I sent him the dates for upcoming meets.
Hopefully he can check one out.
