Title: DIY 2T Oil Level Indicator
Post by: 350GUY on January 14, 2026, 07:04:03 PM
Has anyone tried adapting a electrical oil level sensor to the RD350B 2T oil tank and speedo dash? I know most will say that the oil level window and dip stick suffices, but just wondering if anyone has done this mod. I think its a cool mod....Seems like the RD250 came with this upgrade as an OEM fitment..

the 400s and rzs had a float. however you can use a clear tube and tee it up between the feed ad vent, have seen that done

You could use a sensor or like mark said a switch that completes a circut to turn the light on.

Yeah, I like the idea of the RZ. Will have to figure out the length of the sensor...

Thanks Guys.

Has a rd400 and don't trust it lol well use to ride a kh400 30k miles a year and just filled the tank at every stop for gas. Quakerstate green oil :) Traded the bike in for a KH500 lol with 77k miles.... check your oil always and smile driving off.
