this was to remove the hoop on a stock footrest setup. i had a bent one that i sacrificed. so, got some 1/2" bar, found some brackets i had laying around and started cutting. used the good stocker as a guide. this also allows for a different sidestand. got the idea from one of the uk guys a few yrs ago. also totally reversible. fyi, the u channel i used was leftover parts for a trailer spare tire mount. holes were by chance thecright size/sparing :dawg:

Nice work. I've got two sets of pegs laying around. Neither of which I plan to use. Starting to debate cutting a set and replicating what you've done here unless these Accu-product rearsets show up soon. They look great.
the only reason i went this way was the texavina seat sits pretty low. this made the rearsets a bit too aggressive. so went back to stock pegs but got tired of those stupid loops. i dunno i use this poor r5 as an experiment base
I'm in the same position with the RD street tracker seat. Still fearful the Accu-Products rearsets aren't going to be what I'm looking for. I'm sure they are quality, but they are far from inexpensive. Look forward to hearing your review of these new pegs after some seat time.
rides just like a stock setup. i rode it yesterday, its good.
I have a set of speed of cheese rearsets that were on this bike. they are safely bxed away but i might have to build another bike to use them. :dawg:
honestly i like the texavina seat but it is LOW. gives the bike an almost cruiser seating position which is just.. weird
Definitely agree. I couldn't stand riding it for more than a couple miles. Nothing more than some carpet padding between your ass and the seat pan.

Did you put the rubber vibration dampers back on or just bolt it solid?
