Title: Dakar 2020
Post by: SoCal250 on January 10, 2020, 08:43:44 PM
Anyone here following the Dakar?
This year is in Saudi Arabia and the Americans are doing well so far. :patriot: Brabec is looking loose, waving to the helicopter at full tilt and pulling wheelies. There have been some big crashes in the bike class and a few of the cars have burned to the ground. Some spectacular scenery and geographic features that I never knew existed in that country.

It's on daily on NBCSN. Stage 6 (of 12) will be shown today before the rest day on Sat.

Americans are still doing well. Pretty exciting since an American has never won in any class at Dakar.

For anyone who missed the earlier stages on TV you can get caught up on Friday 1/17. NBCSN will air most of the episodes back-to-back starting at 1pm Eastern.

The final stage is Friday at 6pm Eastern

It was epic! Not only did an American win for the first time in the 40 year history of the Dakar, but TWO won!

Rickey Brabec - 1st place motorcycles
Casey Currie - 1st place UTV/side-by-sides  (margin of victory 39min!)
