That's a rare one for sure. If it were mine, it would be on Bring a Trailer (BaT) to maximize profits. I've never seen one in the flesh and yes, it was a one year model in the US.

I have seen a few of these for sale in So Cal in recent years. And there was one at Mecum Vegas earlier this year that sold for big bucks.

Had a MBX 50 when I was 16, before it was stolen. Pretty fast for a little motor, could get max 120kmph out of it on a long straight. I also weighed like 130lb back then
