Title: alteration of intake port on RD350 cylinder
Post by: Still biking on December 20, 2020, 04:57:48 PM
Check the alterations on the intake port on these cylinders on Ebay.  Also, cut out above intake of cooling fins.  Any Ideas why this was done and if it improves performance?  see https://www.ebay.com/itm/333830105894?ViewItem=&item=333830105894

My guess would be it was modified to accept a balance tube intake like a RD400 or RZ.
The way the port is hogged out probably a RZ or Banshee intake.

And that would generally be a good thing as long as the pipe can use the extra volume. Let the waves do the work...
