Post by: Robert58 on April 04, 2019, 11:55:13 AM
Wow, What a relief to have this  forum back to tap into all the info and experience out the to help each other.
My question is I  just bought the Boyesen 2 stage power reeds from John  Economy Cycle, Do I remove the factory reed stops and use the provided "rev-plate" or keep the factory stops.? :umm:

77 RD400, 1.5 over ProX pistons, Y boot , K & N filter, Dave F carb mod, cross over tube, Main 240, Dyna coils and DG's

Thanks for your help!

Yes, Boyesen dual stage reeds do not use the stops.
Just use the strips provided
with them.
Keep the stops if you go to the YZ 125 or TDR #34 reeds.

Report back to how those dual stage reeds worked out. I've used them in the past on my Honda MB5 and it definitely changed the throttle response on my low-mid range but that was on my shifty50
