Title: AR80
Post by: 2steve on April 26, 2022, 03:16:28 PM
Not normally into wee 2 strokes, but would love to have this in the protection of my garage. Didn't know about it before, but how cool!

My friend matt has one, as does steve (mr foully). the small ones are the most fun hands down IMHO. AR80 is a sweet ass bike to head to the orange julius & hit the arcade on.

...and one of your pals is probably gonna drop in a water cooled 125?

We have a new road punched through to the Target/Home Depot shopping center. I see a bright future for such a machine.

I would love to have an AR80! :vroom: Pretty rare and not something you would want to modify or hack up. You see way more AR50s than 80s and even those are hard to come by.

Back when I was 16 we could only get a licence for a 50cc. Guys used to put 80 kits on their AR50 for more performance. After the cops started catching on they would modify the 80 stamp on the barrel to look like 49cc with JB weld type putty.

It's a fun little ride, for sure! I picked mine up in 2018 and enjoy buzzing around town on it. Get some pretty strange looks from people being a 50-year-old 6'1" guy on an 80cc bike.

That's funny because tomorrow I'm going on a tiddler tour ride.
Picture 30 some odd +50 year old guys riding old 200cc or less bikes in a group.

Seriously, I need this kind of thing to happen in my town. That sounds like ridiculous fun.

They don't pop up often, but here's one. (not mine)

That's a cool little bike!  Never seen one before.  Were the AR80's and AR125's ever sold in the US?

Yes both the AR50 & AR80 were sold here. The 80 is more rare though.
A 125 was never sold in North America.

They are fun for chasing the scooters. Here's a pic of mine the day I brought it home. It had 688 miles on it.

Nice! :bacon: That is really clean!
I like your KDX too. I've been trying find one of those but they seem to be way overpriced around here.

Gratuitous action shot from 2019 trip to Deal's Gap. The mighty AR made it through but didn't care much for the hills.
