Title: WSBK-MotoAmerica at Laguna Seca
Post by: Seizer on July 06, 2019, 12:59:40 PM
Who's all going to make this?
I'll be there on Sunday morning. Gonna ride the Tuono down to my dads on Saturday evening then smash down to Monterey early Sunday. Hopefully can meet up with fellow 2T folks.

It's going to be a hot weekend! The track said General and Reserved campgrounds were sold out a month before the event. That's a good sign for attendance.

It was great meeting you guys at the track. What a fun weekend!
I did 850 miles on the FZ. When I returned home, I really wanted to turn around and do it all over again. Riding Hwy 1 was awesome!

Photos from the ride up:
1) Loaded up and ready to go
2&3) Bixby Bridge, Hwy 1

A few of the 2-strokes I saw on Cannery Row in Monterey on Saturday night
1) H2
2) YZ with a Calif plate
3) RD400F for sale (the owner was asking $9K for it and claimed that it had under 1500mi)

1) Monterey
2) Turn 12 Bar & Grill. If you're ever in Monterey make sure you check out this place! It's a great racing-themed restaurant & bar off Alvarado Street. https://www.turn12barandgrill.com/

Great pics! I had a friend of mine from the UK sitting out by the corkscrew and he just keeps saying how steep it is in person. He watched the parade lap there also and said that those guys were freaking out and tight on the binders coming through that section.

I went back and watched the replay and during the intro a guy with an oily pipes gang shirt walked in front of the camera. Anyone here?

That shirt made you famous!

LOL!  Funny story, I actually found Cdffiredad & Seizer at the track without calling or texting even though we had never met before. Shortly after arriving at the track on Sunday morning I saw a random dude wearing that shirt and started talking to them and it turned out to be them!

Yep you are the guy! The races were great also. Tony Elias is so hard to make a pass stick on! I felt bad for Beaubier.

You'll probably wear it this weekend at MotoAmerica at Infineon too haha. Not that I blame you, I just can't wear mine if you do.
