Y'all ... it's REALLY nice.  :nana:

That definitely DOES have a coolness factor that's tough to match.  :afro:

Did you flash it up to about 80hp yet?

Nice acquisition! It's a keeper.

Thanks!

No, not yet on the flash. I think I'll ride it as it is for now and look to flash it later. There's a guy in SC who does that work so hopefully the turnaround will be pretty quick. The slip-on came with the bike from the previous owner.

After coveting these for two years now, I finally talked myself into picking one up. This thing is ridiculous amounts of fun, y'all.

Pic below is from a Dunkin' meet-up w/m in sc on Sunday

My brother and I got the big bikes out for a ride, too. Nice weather for it in NC, if you have modestly warm gear.

Two potential buyers really bid that one up. The 'losing' bidder is still out there, wanting a YL-1E ...

Thanks, everyone! The paint is from Roth Metal Flake with the added high build primer: https://rothmetalflake.com/collections/rattle-bomb-kits/products/rattle-bomb-pearl-kit-br-watson-white. The decals are from Diablo.

Certainly affordable, especially given the results.

m in sc and I spent the weekend in his storage unit laying down a fresh paint job on the RD400E. It took me a really long time to decide which colors I wanted for this bike, but a conversation among friends over beer and pizza ultimately led me here - pearl white with a touch of metal flake and '77 light/dark blue decals. I love it. And if there are any doubters out there - m is a master of the rattle can.

I love remembering that time when you said you were keeping this one stock.
