Quote from: Kawtriplefreak on September 10, 2022, 11:56:30 PMThanks Gil. The 500 badges are misleading on purpose. It is a late 71 bottom end with 72 cylinders, H2 750 engine in a 76 KH500 frame.
Quote from: 1976RD400C on September 11, 2022, 07:56:27 AMNew fancy rearsets. Everything is adjustable, up, down, forward, rearward, petal length, petal leverage. The master cylinder seems to work good. Ball bearings on the petal pivots. Haven't tried them yet, next week when I get the motor going again.

As a youth we sometimes used springs way to short( within reason) than stock and fought like hell to install, but never had a break on the spring stays manifold or exhaust, not saying all welds hold but as long as you have tension you should be fine.

The bike is stock carbed with stock air box and new filter. I have second Generation Spec II Chambers and would like some expertise on the carburetor upgrades. I will most likely pod or a two into one filter. I just titled it today with plate on the way.

Maybe your piston is not all the way depressed, I purchased one but have yet to use it on my RD 350 build.
