The 4-Stroke Blasphemy Forum / 72 CT90

I inherited this 1972 Honda CT90 from my Great Grandfather several years ago. It hadn't ran for about 6 years due to a bent intake valve. Just rebuilt the head with all new gaskets as well as a carb/petcock rebuild kit. It fired right up after the rebuild and runs like a champ. Cool little things about this bike are the spare canteen/gas can that's secured under the rear rack as well as the high/low range gearbox. Cool little machine.

DaytonaCafe, was wondering what front fender you are running?  That looks really nice as does the entire bike!

Cool thanks! Its the original fender just repainted from the previous owner.

Curious on what swingarm your running? I'm also looking to upgrade the front brake caliper on my RD400F.

Just race bearing and fork seals to install. Finished the seat cover yesterday. Ready for another 40 years of abuse!

How many Isle of Stan's had that poor thing survived?

No Isle of Stan wins under its belt but at least a couple Felony Flats wins.

Awesome! I love the air cooled stuff. Clearly it isn't as fast, but there is a charm to it. Not having to deal with pump, radiator, etc.. It looks so simple. How does that monoshock still work?

The monoshock is in good working order, I also realized that I could stiffen it up from what it was previously set at. The forks are not is as good of shape.

LOVE IT.  :cheerleader:

sucks about the frame.. but ive been there as well.

Fairly simple to weld back together with the full teardown taking a mere 30 minutes.

side note, moving this to the micro muscle section.

Thank you for relocating, my bad.

I had my 1980 Yamaha YZ50 for some years now and it has taken a lot of adult abuse. After storing it in the shed for over a year I pulled it out and fired it up third kick. I did a once over and noticed a full break in the left side of the frame and two cracks on the right side. Time for a full tear down! Fixed the frame, controls, tires, oils refresh, clutch, new plastics, graphics and reeds on the way.

Another year, another One Moto Show. I set the bike up yesterday, the show starts tonight and goes through Sunday here in Portland, OR. It was also in good company next to this pristine Hercules Wankel.

Here's a photo from last October by Geoff Nickless, for those that don't know Geoff was basically Kenny Roberts personal photographer back in the 70's and has some of the most iconic photos of him. I was pretty humbled to get this one from him.

Went ahead and blacked out the 300XC, I think it turned out well.

Id say use the $750 elsewhere on your bike. An aircooled RD will never make enough power to justify using that.

I don't really have anywhere else to spend it. Just one of those things on the want list. They sound cool and give some slight performance gains. I agree  it's more than what it's worth but why not? The only other to do on my list is the front R6 caliper swap.
