I have an RD I want to switch out the engine on and I live in California.  I have heard nightmare stories that if you do it and don't have a bill of sale for the engine they assume you stole it.  I lost the bill of sale for it years ago and now I want to use it in  bike.  Anyone with experience with this?

Yes I was planning on switching the whole motor out including transmission.  I assume the exhaust ports will work as well.  thanks for input!

I have an R5 with some problems and have a spare RD350 engine.  Are there any complications in switching engine/trans out for an RD 350?  Has anybody ever done that?

Look for a raised M, indicating that it's a Morris magnesium wheel which is perfect for a TZ museum restoration but really has no place on a bike that will be ridden.  Magnesium age hardens and cracks internally which will cause you to instantly empty your bowel just like taking too much magnesium in your diet will do, but more catastrophically.

It might be an aluminum copy but looks like a Morris.  I have one that looks very like that and after it gets blasted and powder coated it will be fitted to a museum/private collection TZ.

Wow!  You are good!  I knew it wasn't aluminum or steel and magnesium fits the description. It is very light in weight and has rough surface.   And there is an M stamped on it!  Were those wheels used on TZ yamahas or were they aftermarket?

I inherited a bunch of RD parts in a purchase I made years ago and trying to find out what this wheel is for or from.  Appears to as an RD400 but has bolt holes on each side of wheel for disk so I assume its for dual disk use.  Anyone have any ideas?

Are the clutch assemblies the same or interchangeable for these bikes?  I have a box of 4 of them and want to sell them.

It really depends on which K500 you are talking about.  An H1?  I don't know about you fairing too well.  A 76 KH500?  No problem

How much should I expect to pay for a rebuildable set of carbs, OEM Mikuni, for a Yamaha RD400?  I see prices all over the place on Ebay.
