My frame is already powder coated black but I want to de-tang it and fix a few things.  Can I have those areas powder coated or does the whole frame need to be stripped down and fully recoated?  Thanks all.

Going through a new used transmission I received for my 78rd400 and only issue besides needing new bearings is that the Mainshaft 4th gear pinion (24t) spins but has drag. Is that normal. It's not like a bad bearing type of drag it just needs force to spin unlike the Mainshaft 6th gear pinion (27t) which I can spin with a push of a finger. The gear in question is #2 in the picture and using # 7 for a reference. Thanks in advance.

I was looking into the stainless JL exhaust. It says won't work with 78rd400 due to the loop style frame for the rear foot pegs. I am not running rear foot pegs. Is there a chance it will then work.

I have a bad 5th gear in my 78 Rd400 and was wounding if a 79 Daytona special trans gear set will fit into my case. If so will I also need a Daytona clutch basket?  Thanks.

Looking for a rd400f Daytona rear brake caliper bolt with the large shoulder. Seem to have lost mine. Part#90109-08454-00  I looked on eBay and all sites and not sure if the ones shown with other part numbers will work or not.  Any help in finding this bolt is much appreciated.

My RD400 has been sitting for years neglected. Will need lots of work but looking forward to seeing it smoke once again.  It has Moto Carrera Daytona swing arm, rear sets and clip on bars. It also has a chino cdi 100W ignition system ( I can not find the installation instructions or schematics so if someone has them and is able to PDF them to me that would be awesome.) Upgrades may include a gsxr front for conversion, spoke wheels and updated carbs and a complete engine reseal with replacement of the 5th gear which has damaged teeth. New updated headlamp and it will obviously need much more to make it safe and reliable. The seat will get a upgrade also.  I was a member of the USA2STROKERS (Manic2stroke)
