Yamaha Loves to Over complicate a retro race bike RZ500 comparison. THe stupid jet block and all the hoses...

Fun bikes, love the look Glad you are sorting her out.

Yamaha LC250 was the best race bile for the street.

FYI you can make a TZ250 into a street bike.. Smaller carb to tame and other small adjustments.

Great collectors bike!!

I have sean many 4 strokes guys use hard back K&N's- work great. Not so much on  a reed valve 2 stroke- why?
Push back [resonance] Reeds are designed to push back the wave form of the crack case [to some extent].
Think of it as (+) and (-) waves. Piston goes down = + pressure to the carb. out see and feel spit back out of carb.
Piston goes up (-) wave- pressure sucks fuel from carb into crankcase.
Up& down it goes until it hits a (RPM) frequency that all is good harmonized or equal. Flows to it's optimum in & out.

Spit back: happens even with reed valves at RPM's so there must be a wave that does that, Right.
If that wave hits a hard surface and reflect back into the intake and disrupts the flow, we call that a stumble.

Simply changing from hard back to soft- foam will remove that stumble - jetting maybe required. Due to flow increase.

Please comment on this subject if your results very.

General Chatter / Re: How to sell a lot of RD stuff?

Mike:
Old stuff catches up with us all. I was a Can do sort of guy [back when I was strong] and hurt myself many times. Work play and riding fast.
Hair on fire running fast was me, wheelie 4 gears, stopies for 1/2 a block...
Alos I skateboarded before riding motorcycles and hurt from that. Also surfed never got hurt doing that. Other than paddling out...

Collected to much stuff over the years. Need to share with those that need it.
Love to find a guy that want to Pick up RD wrenching and buy it all..

That is great news, rode the old track and new track..  I preferred the dangerous old track [Woo corner] but. learned to go fast there in the day.
Rode RD350 /TZ250 & supper bikes there.

TZ owned that track.

RD were race bread so I guess we all love the 2 stroke racers.. Being and OLD racer TZ's to RD's are worlds apart.

Long live 2 stroke street bikes
