great answers.
I went out today for a ride. I rode my Honda nighthawk and I rode at a normal pace again and enjoyed it.
I am sorry about your riding in Chicago. many times I leave my home and I say to myself there aren't any cars. lucky I guess.

here I am out today riding my rd350b. I don't have to go far to be on really winding roads. I am 60 now and I have always wanted all my different motorcycles to get every little bit of power out of it. to the best of my ability.
back to the ride. I turn on one road and I try to keep it quiet around houses. I was probably doing 55 and coming into some turns. then it hit me. why do I have to go so fast through these turns. after that I slowed it down a level and rode the rest of the day just enjoying the ride.
I liked the ride better.

ok I guess I had high hopes. no big deal but small amount of exhaust leak on jl pipes flange. I bought new orings last year. I only intended to use the orings to center the flange in the pipe. as an auto mechanic all my life I have found that permatex the right stuff is one of the best gasket makers and sealer. it actually hardens into black rubber.

the 1972 looks new and a good move to drive past the food truck.

i had a great ride. i live around a lot of back roads so never really hit the highway.
i haven't ridden for over a month and the bike ran flawlessly.
glad that others had good rides.

use 2 hammers. 0ne you would lay the ball of the hammer where you want the dimple and hit it with the other hammer to make the indentation. saves from having to hit it a couple times and make marks. I hope this makes sense.

they sound great but the quality of the pipes and the hardware is A+.
i also had a set on my fj1100.

added Delkevic 4 into 1. uni filter, and jetted. runs so much better but the sound is amazing. for what it is it has a little get up and go.
i also made up some brackets and installed these plastic bags. the bags and brackets cost less than 75.00.
