I have a 1976 Arctic Cat panterra 5000 that is a blast to ride. I have been looking at a triple also. Every once in a while i see one on craigs list.

Thank you , I enjoyed that. What kind of speeds are we talking about here as they go around the track ?

If you scroll down and read the description it says they are for proper fitment.

Turning Wrenches / Re: new crankshaft problem

I have had electric motors and other drive-type shafts with the same damage repaired at good machine shops and motor shops. You will need measurements if you find someone. The loc tite thing will never last in that situation I have done it many times for our customers on our stuff to keep people running until proper repairs can be made. In low speed situations or on idler drives it works better there's too much tourque on a crank.

Make sure the pipes are up all the way on the flanges. Mine were leaking bad and after further investigating, I saw the pipes hitting the nuts for the flanges. Turn the nuts so that the flat side is towards pipes to allow them to go up all the way. Loosen the rear mounts a little if you have to this gives some slack to make it easier to get them up farther. I used sealers before it just doesn't last and gets nasty. They still leak a little but I'm ok with it.

I bought mine in 2008 for $265.99 from HVC I had no idea they were that much now. They are the only pipes other than stock I have tried so I have no idea what others are like. I would like to do the mod to them I like the look of cans on the end. Time for A repaint this spring.
