Applied with a spray gun most likely would be a better option.

Not sure how rare they are or how hard it would be to source parts but I personally have only seen one on the road in the late 80's and other than that only at a couple of two stroke show's over the years.

I think it is an incredible find as old as it and  the condition, from what I can see in the pic.

General Chatter / Re: Are Bassini pipes a good upgrade?

I was talking to Gary about a set of F1's for a 1975 RD 350 and thought they were being manufactured. Then a 7 months had past with one day being a phone call by him stating a price for the F1's and I figured they were ready to ship but not quite, they were going to be manufactured upon receiving the full purchase payment. Another 4 months and my pipes arrived   excellent quality as always without a disappointment.

Funny thing is during that time I came across a new SPEC II second generation pipes on ebay that I snagged  but I purchased the F1's anyway as they seem harder and harder to get a hold of.

Growing up in Southern California as a young and ageing two stroke enthusiast I have known and purchased from SPEC II for decades and have never been disappointed, he is very professional and a detailed two stroke builder. We are all slowing down and sometimes must be patient, but a can attest that that quality of his work is excellent, he had a guy working with him for like 30 years and he retired and moved back to the Philippines last time I talked with him. I would buy them if you have the patience.

I have never seen or know anyone that had these on their RD in S. Cal back in the day. They look cool and in very good shape. They fit 350 or 400 :umm:

This insight helps a great deal, I will of course keep all of the OEM parts with the idea of giving them a go some day properly.

I just ordered my Race Tech Gold Valve Fork Emulators and rear 520 chain conversion rear sprocket, also ordered a DID 520 gold drive chain from another source as Ecomomy has been out of stock.........parts are piling in and almost ready for another rider

Debating purchasing new components and would like some feed back if any of you made these purchases and your input. Other options of course rebuilding and restoring originals.

If you know someone that lives out of state just ship to them and they can reship them to your location.
