I would ask what exhaust port timing range they are built for (blowdown is important too but...), reason I mention this is because the RD350 cylinders in India have restricted exhaust ports, possible Brazil has something different from what we are familiar with.

Jim, just saw your post. That was an expired special. Porting, crank rebuild and machining services are all available. While I have a state of the art engine dyno and software, it is not a service offered to the public. I use it for development and extreme customer builds. Prices have just been updated, send me your email and I will forward them to you, my email is  vintageporting@gmail.com

Vintage Porting  Is no longer in business due to health issues. Thank you, John Ritter

Scott, do like Mark suggested, they will come loose. Put pressure on, put a rust buster in the holes, and every so often add a bit more pressure. Pulled a couple over the years like that.

Micro Muscle: Under 100cc's / Re: YL1.. Project thread

Mark, evidently the YL1 stuff was scrapped in Calif. for the move but I did find several RD125 engines/parts if one ever follows you home and you feel the need, lol.

I would have to look but I might have engine spares. 25 years ago I had a bunch of that stuff, some went to scrap when I moved to TN so not sure. If you need something let me know and I'll check my storage.

Mark I should have .050, .075 and 1.00mm piston kits if you find the top end in need of help.

Very nice.

A compression test and then a pressure test might point to something.
I would have to look but I think I have engine parts laying around, I was going to sleeve a 125 twin to 100 for land speed because the LS1 cylinders are impossible but like so many projects oh well so if you need cylinders or bottom end stuff let me know.

Any sign that the clutch is slipping?

Scott I've ridden both piston port and reed in every stage of tune and the 360 is a heavy bike, I also remember the front ends were ill handling pigs. I only trail rode the piston port a couple times but rode the reed bike enough to know you are a brave individual. My son has 2 favorite bikes, his 1974 MX360 and 1974 MX100. Both have extensive work done to engines and suspensions. He said he will own them the rest of his life.
Good Luck......

General Chatter / Cometic Head Gasket
May 26, 2021, 10:18:27 AM
Years ago I had Cometic make me copper RD400 head gaskets in various thicknesses that have a 66mm bore. The most common used number is for .020" thickness. This part number is    H0388020C   , if you need a different thickness check their online chart for copper thickness and replace the 020 in the number, for example  027 , order part number  H0388027C  etc.

If you are interested in upgrading I know I have a stock 1974 MX100 head, might even have a stock MX100 cylinder but would have to make sure. We have experience with the 74/75 MX100. Jemco who was in TX and now new owner in KY made an excellent pipe for them.
