I have a (stripped down) project RD350 with a DT400 (+1) swingarm that I am sorting out. I would like to raise the rear of the bike (for a bit of a streetfighter look)  and wondering what the maximum length shocks I can use before having clearance problems with the chain/exhaust.
I will be using chambers but not sure which brand yet. I would like to use 14 inch shocks for the look I want but pretty sure that will pose some problems. Thanks

General Chatter / RD400 engine cases ? Numbers?
May 03, 2019, 07:46:11 AM
I have a set of 400 cases (pretty sure)  that I bought a while back in a group of RD parts.

1A1-350621 are the case numbers. Just wondering what model year these are?? Thanks

Got it, Sounds like a good plan. How long should they cure? (in the oven)

I have my RD350 side cases sanded and getting ready for paint. I would like them to look similar to factory (black paint with the bare aluminum stripes) I guess masking is the best way? (not sure but doesn't look like they were masked from factory) I am not a painter and I know they won't be perfect,...Just want them to look good as possible.
Any tips would be appreciated, Thanks

General Chatter / Re: Thanks to the New Forum!

I would also like to thank any and all who participated in restarting this forum. Having a shop manual is one thing but it's not the same. Nothing come close to having the support that this forum provides.

So with that being said,....I will continue to ask stupid questions as usual. I have No shortage of those.

Glad to be back!,......Thanks Again!
