I've always used https://www.colorrite.com/.  Never had a problem with their paint quality of colors.

Great story.  I've only had RD400's, never had a 350.

Congratulations Mark.  Working on 30 years with my DW myself.

This needs to be written up and put in the Tech section for all to reference.

I like bourbon, with 2-3 cubes of ice.  Working through a bottle of barrel proof JD this month.  Only have a sip once or twice a week while relaxing in the evenings.

There are a LOT of parts from the XS400 and other XS models that fit the Daytona.

I could use a couple of new tshirts, size XL, one black, one white.

What's the downside to running tubes in a racing motorcycle tire?  I run tubes in my as the OEM rims are not designed to be tubeless (1976 RD400).

I need the length.  As you suggested, I know the inside diameter and the outside one isn't critical.

Does anyone have dimensions for an RD400 cast wheel bearing spacer for use inside the wheel between the spacers?  I've lost mine and wanted to make a new one.

+1 on Mop and Glo.  That's what I do on my racing RD400.  Adds no weight over bare metal, lasts all season.

Chrome is probably best, or if you are cheap like me, wire wheel them each spring and then mop and glow them.

I had a '91 ZX-7 for years.  My oldest son and I polished the frame/swingarm one winter.  Had a Muzzy SS exhaust.  Kick myself for selling that one.
