Ok I am so not a Kart person but in regards to the craftsmanship this thing is just totally over the top. Read a few of the comments in the BAT ad and one worth mentioning stated it as a piece of karting history, no doubt upon closer inspection in the pics one can see why. It's a head scratcher for me. I truly wanted to just dismiss it as some wild wanky homegrown build given the two motors but gave it a chance and really just amazed at how truly well made she is. Love to hear it run, wish the seller made a video.

OK this thread is getting too deep, LOL. If any of you fellas were my neighbors we'd be the best of pals. A.) I like bikes and B.)I don't have a garage. Dam I wish I didn't like in such a homely part the country, too much winter and surrounded by breeders, the few who do ride bikes are mostly all on Harleys that barely ever need much more than a oil change cause they hardly get ridden.

I like it too and I've seen it listed on EBAY as well. However boy it ain't cheap with the buy it now option and obviously it doesn't run. Is it worth it?

Turning Wrenches / Re: quick tip on connectors

That's a solid troubleshooting tip. I am by no means an electrical  guru, forgotten more than I know. However it always seems like most electrical gremlins are loose connections or weak grounds.

Very interesting and cool build. Sounds decent in the video but needs a little tuning. I wonder where this thing will go on BaT.
Yep ditto for me as well, be curious to see what it goes for. Auction states no reserve.

Come along's are amazing. My folks and I were trying to clean up this small part of the yard were some metal junk had been covered with compost and over time the compost, mostly leaves just settled. What was left and partially buried was a very ancient day bed frame, half stuck in the ground. It would flex and show barely a sign of movement when we tried to lift and pry it outta the ground but with the come along and a nearby tree we made easy quick work of pulling it out. Just the tool for the job. So I read this thread and it totally reminded me of this experience, LOL

General Chatter / Re: Harbor Freight ultrasonic cleaners

I have the same inexpensive, plastic one and I have used it for cleaning my RD carbs. Only used it a couple times. It's definitely kinda small but when I took the plastic tray out  naturally I gained more room inside to put in the whole carbs and it didn't seem to break. I never used any more intense/stronger cleaner other than recommended HF powder solution with warm water although I did add some pine sol. Good to know you may kill it with methanol, LOL. I actually recall it doing a nice job for my limited use and needs. I also have a cheap 10 gal. air compressor from HF. So combining both of those cheap tools was absolutely adequate just for my do it yourself carb clean but I dunno if I could get more done with it? Way cheaper and a great experience added than to pay a professional. Heck I'm not sure the pros locally would even want to do it for me. For example I bought my RD from the local Yamaha dealer on a special Yamaha promo sales event they had five years ago and they did all the typical barn find stuff to get it to run but it always ran way too lean. Me being a newbie I found this forum :olaf: and threw everything including the kitchen sink at it to correct the lean running, hey it was winter and I had it for a couple years at that point. So anyways that's why I got the HF ultrasonic cleaner and now she runs a bit rich but so much better and I'm thankful for the community support here. Otherwise the bike would still be literally useless.

Definitely weird. What I came away with watching the video is it combines the best of two stroke design making power on every stroke with the best of a four stroke being more efficient at burning fuel. However it's a lot more complicated/costly to manufacture with more parts also heavier and it's suggested that there could be a greater tendency for the valves and pistons to have a meet up. Would love to see one produced almost exactly as the single cylinder concept in that video just for a motorcycle. Actually I would also like to see a production of all three engines just to make a valid set of comparing and contrasting. Would surely be wicked expensive, time consuming and exhausting for little gains to prove out the concept but still just interesting to see it fully tried and proven good or bad.

Fun video to watch. Too poor to own one?....Me too. Well yes and no...I mean I can but I would have to have a screw loose at that cost. 35k yikes. I like the TZR much better but still I think in the video they mentioned that would fetch some silly money albeit a third or less of the latter's cost.

yeah thats what I recall of it  and if I remember further still the power mods yielded modest gains like maybe only a couple hp?

Looks very sharp, a scalpel for the track. Ok so I once owned a 2007 sv650s and I was under the impression that there isn't much in the way of motor mods that can be done to em to get more power. However that's not to say one can't do other things to make the sv650 perform better. Just curious, am I wrong?...and or what can one to "hot rod" a sv650. To put it in another way I was told that sv650's were pretty well optimized by Suzuki to make the most power they ever could, just not sure that's true and sorry to get off topic asking all that.

Just outta curiosity if you really had to have this and don't like the weight could you lighten it up with a motor swap?...say a KX500 motor? :clint:

I guess I figure one reason where it can weigh a bit more is all the extra electronics to sort out epa compliant fuel delivery on a modern four stroke.

I guess so, clicked on the link and it stated the listing wasn't available. Must've been a heck of a deal.

Yeah this guy's been pedaling his 72' H1 on and off again on Ebay for a long time. He must've seen that Mecum Auction and of course is dying to sell his....and I still think although his asking price is cheaper still big money.
