Nice - looks like mid to late 70's.

I think Pipeline chambers had aluminum cans. Your set looks like the ends were cut off and replaced with DG type ends.

Another cool feature is what appears to be an adjustable swingarm pivot.

Interesting and convenient that GS750 transmissions can fit the GT750.

I love watching these races. The riders are so skilled it's amazing.

Some advantages of running stock 1A1 carbs:
 - One choke lever (Aftermarket carbs have a lever on both carbs)
 - Stock RD400 1A1 cables work
 - Stock RD400 (2V0 or 1A1) or RZ350 (31K) Intake manifolds work
 - Stock RD350 Y-boot can be used to run either a K&N or UNI filter

Stock VM28's work great, performance will be fine.  If you want to a set of used stockers, I have some. 

I agree regarding the carbs.  When I had a Daytona with stock carbs, any adjustment to the needles required re-synching them. A set of older RD carbs or aftermarket carbs such as TM's VM30's PWK's etc. will be nicer after you have the jetting figured out.

I drilled out the tumblers, now any key of that size will open it.

I've read discussions here about using alarm batteries for RD's. A friend of mine works for an alarm company. He recently gave me two 12V alarm batteries in good shape, changed out after two years from an alarm system.

Today I tried a battery in my H1.  It won't fit sitting in the normal position, however I was able to fit the battery standing on its side with the terminals facing out.  Just went on a spin and it seems okay.  My bike has Jim's Super-Regulator so that the voltage going to the battery shouldn't be too high.

Anyone tried this before on a Kawi triple and have any comments?

I have probably read that "Carving Lines and Grinding Ports" a hundred times or more. The article features Gary Shumake (Spec2) as the engine tuner.

I'm not that close to the beach but I see it almost everyday!  Better to be away from the beach in case of hurricanes, tsunami and corrosive salt air.

What do you think of the TM32's compared to other carbs?

That reminds me that I have to complete my '74 RD350 build someday...

RD's are better bikes but I love my Kawasaki triples. Kawasaki triple riders refer to RD's as "girlie bikes".
