Looks like Calfab (Motogpwerks guy) is going to be making SR500 swingarms. Weather you will actually be able to buy one remains to be seen.

General Chatter / Electrical connector help
February 08, 2022, 11:44:19 AM
Can the wires be removed from this connector? I have no continuity in one wire and I think the issue is where the wire joins the metal part in the connector block.

Turning Wrenches / burned stator
August 13, 2021, 12:29:59 PM
I have a banshee stator that has had the ground floated for DC hooked up to my battery in my bike. It stopped charging recently, and the epoxy looks a bit cooked.
Looking for possible causes so that it doesn't happen again. these things are expensive.

Only recent change was adding a fan about a month ago wired in with a relay and switch.
When it happened I thought the battery had died (its about 6 years old), but it may have just been the battery was drawn right down while riding.

General Chatter / Welding on a soda blaster
June 11, 2021, 12:22:34 AM
I just bought a soda blaster. Its the local version of harbour freight, and you have to take the entire feed line out of the tank to fill it.
newer versions have a threaded bung on the side for filling.
I want to weld a bung on, but I cant fin any info about about welding and bicarbonate of soda. Do I just blow out all the powder and weld away?

Turning Wrenches / New life for some old FPP's
April 30, 2021, 11:58:06 PM
I bought a set of Wolf branded FPP pipes a while back thinking I would use them. The silencers were pretty beat, and they hung in my garage for a few years. Decided to get them prettied up so I can trade them for some new parts cash.
1 new silencer finished. Only one more to go.
Still uses the hokey wire c clip to mount at the front.
I thought it came out pretty good.

Picked up a new basket case today. 1982 GSX750s Katana with a 1100 motor.
Been sitting for years, but looks like its about 95% there.

Its been over 30 years since Ive had one of these.
