Never had an opportunity to ride one but rode with a couple. No rocket but a great townie and backroad entertainer. You ever kickstart a big four stroke single when hot? It can be a PITA.

Before writing them off or spending time fixing I'd check the port timing of the cylinder. They don't look too awful but that's just looking at a photo. See if they'd be suitable for your intended use.

'17 WRX. Bought in Dec. '16. 65K miles so far. What a blast of a car. If I mess with the engine at all it'll be methanol injection. Reliable 300+ HP from 122 C.I.
