The drawback to KTM power.................KTM parts prices. And with a KTM I would stick with OEM for any real hard parts.

A used Aprilia Tuono V4 would fit the description if yer heart is up to it.

I replaced a few parts on mine awhile ago but not everything.

I have a set of dogbones around here somewhere. Gimme a shout if ya need 'em.

I just did a quick search and most of the parts appear to be available. Might wanna sit down before you start looking it ain't gonna be cheap.

Very nice project. So many innovative mods. Can't wait to see the end result.  :whoop:

Thank you....it's a lot more work than I anticipated, first time doing something so difficult tbh, so it's taken a lot longer and cost a lot more than I had hoped.
I too am looking forward to it finished.... :)

Projects are like that. Multiply by 3 for time and 5 for cost enables an accurate estimate when considering one. Even so that rarely stops me.

Short piece of old throttle cable in a drill chuck at slow speed with an abundance of caution. It works but be sure to determine what direction to turn it[/b] so the cable stay bound and not unwound. Maybe a little practice in something less valuable? I've done it in tanks I sealed the crossover shut with RedKote.

This sounds like a great solution but unfortunately I don't have any throttle cable on hand. I'd really like to give this a go!

Any local bicycle shop (hell even MalWart) will have brake cable kits cheap.

Washed and retreated the DWR on my Aerostich Darien for the season. I'm bored  think I'll retreat to the garage after dinner for a cigar and cuppa joe.

XB Buells were a bit of a PITA to change tires on.

Spend a few bucks and support the local guy. They'll be needing it these days. Many will disappear before this mess is over.
